Qu’est-ce que le Pont pour la lecture? De nombreux adultes à travers l'Afrique apprennent à lire la langue de leur région avec l'aide de tuteurs Bridge to Reading qui font du bénévolat dans leurs églises locales. Bridge to Reading est le ministère d'alphabétisation des adultes de Mercy, Inc. Depuis son lancement au Burundi et dans l'est de la République démocratique du Congo en 2010, plus de 20.000 adultes et jeunes non scolarisés ont appris à lire, écrire et faire des mathématiques grâce à Bridge to Reading en coopération avec les efforts d’implantation d’églises de One Mission Society.

Suivez les étapes décrites dans les documents à distribuer.

Entraînez-vous avec deux ou trois amis qui savent lire. Cela vous aidera à vous habituer à suivre les étapes décrites dans les documents. Après avoir constaté à quel point c'est facile, ils voudront peut-être également donner des cours particuliers à des amis qui ne savent pas lire.

Invitez maintenant quelques amis qui ne savent pas lire à suivre avec vous une leçon de « Bridge to Bible Reading ». Faites-leur savoir que vous apprenez à y parvenir avec eux. Dites merci à vos amis qui vous ont aidé à apprendre !

Demandez à votre pasteur si vous pouvez utiliser l'église pour encadrer quelques personnes afin qu'elles puissent commencer à lire la Bible.

Daraja la Kusoma Biblia ni nini? Watu wazima mahali pote barani afrika, wana jifunza kusoma lugha zao kwa msahada ya wakufunzi wa Bridge to Reading wakujitolea kwenye kanisa zao. Bridge to Reading ni huduma ya Mercy, Inc., ya kusoma na kuandika kwa watu wazima. Tangu mwaka 2010, ilipoanza inchini Burundi na mashariki mwa Jamuhuri ya kidemokrasia ya Kongo, watu wazima na vijana walio acha shule, zidi ya 20,000, wamejifunza kusoma, kuandika na kuhesabu kupitia Bridge to Reading ikishirikiana na uwezo wa upandaji wa makanisa ya One Mission Society.

What is Bridge to Bible Reading? Many adults across Africa are learning to read the language of their region with the help of Bridge to Reading tutors who volunteer in their local churches. Bridge to Reading is the adult literacy ministry of Mercy, Inc. Since it began in Burundi and Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2010, more than 20,000 adults and out-of-school youth have learned to read, write and do math through Bridge to Reading in cooperation with the church planting efforts of One Mission Society.

How to Use this Guide

Watch the videos to see us model how the guide works.

Follow the steps in the handouts.

Practice with two or three friends who can read. This will help you get used to following the steps in the handouts. After they see how easy it is, they may want to also tutor friends who cannot read.

Now invite a few friends who cannot read to go through a Bridge to Bible Reading lesson with you. Let them know that you are learning how to do this right along with them. Thank your friends for helping you learn!

Ask your pastor if you can use the church to tutor a few people so they can begin to read the Bible.
